Breastfeeding Support Services
Hi! I’m Jordan. I live in Stockport with my partner, our 2 children & our 2 Dachshund’s Peggy & Winnie. I breastfed my daughter until she was 12 months old & I am currently breastfeeding my son. Therefore, I have first-hand experience.
I’m originally from the London Borough of Bexley, where I was brought up within a very large and loving family. I went to university to study Adult Nursing (2008) and finished in 2011 armed with my Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree. Studying whilst on the job I gained a huge variety of skills. My first job as a registered nurse was in A&E of St Thomas’ Hospital, Westminster, London. I stayed for 14 months before realising that my interest was to focus on helping babies, in Newborn Intensive Care (NICU). Since then I’ve been helping mothers & their babies for over a decade.

She supported and challenged us in equal amounts -wanting to share information and empower us as parents. Jordan is extremely knowledgeable but it always felt like she was talking to us not down to us. She shared information at the right level and then followed it up at later times.
Jordan was also pivotal in my journey to express milk - always willing to share best practice and tips so that I felt confident to express. Sometimes in NICU you need information and knowledge; other times you need a smile and a laugh. Jordan provided everything and was a credit to the unit. Thanks a million,
We wanted to offer some feedback about one of your nurses. Jordan is a really approachable, conscientious and helpful nurse. She takes care to understand the babies needs and also thinks of ways to improve the babies lives on the NICU. She has made us, as parents, feel comfortable and safe leaving our child. She also went out of her way to help our son and us. She really has gone above and beyond. Jordan particularly helped us with feeding our son- we were unable to breastfeed but Jordan was extremely knowledgeable on how to bottle feed our baby- because he was extremely preterm this came with lots of difficulties that we have now overcome thanks to Jordan.
We spent alot of time back for ROP checks so pity we didn’t run in to you. She finally had treatment yesterday so now discharged from Nicu.
Thank you for everything you have done for us, we are forever grateful.
We hope you’re keeping well xx
We are all settled in at our local hospital now and happy to be under one roof. The boys are doing great. I am extremely grateful for all you and your colleagues did for us as a family.
