Consultation
Breastfeeding is one of a woman’s many superpowers, however that doesn’t mean it’s always easy.
A consultation with a lactation consultant can help you & your baby on your feeding journey whatever you decide.
My aim during a consultation is to give you the chance to discuss what has been happening to you on your feeding journey so far. I can answer any questions that you may have, provide practical support and set realistic expectations for yourself and your baby. My goal is to help you continue on your feeding journey with calm confidence for as long as is mutually desired. I will provide you with a detailed written feeding plan so that you can achieve your goals, to be on the way to a happy mother & baby.

Antenatal infant feeding education
We know that making plenty of milk is the key to successful breastfeeding. But did you know that you have been producing milk since week 16 of your pregnancy? The first hour after delivery is the most effective time to start your journey.
Education into infant feeding prior to giving birth to your baby has a significant impact on the outcome of your feeding goals. The NHS has a postcode lottery on who receives antenatal feeding education, this causes many women to find themselves let down and disappointed by the service when their feeding goals aren’t met. For every mother, whether this is your first baby or third, a consultation during pregnancy is a great way to ensure things get off to the best start.
